Bruny is serviced by Community Heath Centre. Doctors visit each Thursday, and two resident nursing sisters are on 24 hour call. A helicopter and police launch are available for emergencies. We have a manned police station, volunteer ambulance, S.E.S. and fire services.
Bruny has a population of about 600 permanent people, rising to about 2600 at holiday periods. The area is rich in pioneer history, and many forest walks lead to remote locations. 70 minutes from Hobart includes ferry crossing.
